Recently, I went to a motor show in Korea this year and got the energy I wanted to design by looking at various parting lines in transportation design.
Nowadays, product design is tedious, but transportation design is so dynamic, changing and wonderful.

'Split' plays a big role in every design. There are good industrial reasons for improved assembly, safety, durability, cost savings, and so on.

‌ I am happy if I look at a well-made transportation design. After looking at the light reflecting the exquisite parting line or the attractive volume sense.
I wanted to put these elements in the product design as well.

What if the Mercedes EQ offers wireless earphones? A long battery? Superior sound quality?
Cool design? Of course, the above three contents should be satisfied.

‌ I applied LED lighting information, which is a feature of the Mercedes EQ, throughout the design.
This indicates battery information, Bluetooth pairing, and bacterial contamination information.

‌ The wireless earphone charging case uses UV-C LED to sterilize inside and outside when charging earbuds.

The charging case opens in a slide. The user can recognize the left and right in red and blue of the earbuds.
The silicone eartip was set to be translucent so that the UV-C effect could be transferred to the inside.

At the bottom, the information of the equipment is engraved. This part can be rotated to the left or right, and the upper slide structure can be locked and unlocked.
This is designed as a safety because the risk when the UV-C is directly exposed to the people.
